About New BraunfelsSituated in Comal and Guadalupe counties, New Braunfels was established in 1845 by Prince Carl of Solms-Braunfels region of Germany and a group of German farmers and craftsmen. During the 19th century, its name was often spelled Neu-Braunfels. From New Braunfels tourists can reach Texas’ major cities.
